Internship Opportunities 2023! at CanCham Thailand


CanCham Thailand has been operating for 29 years and continues to promote and enhance Thai-Canadian relations by facilitating trade in both directions.


CanCham Thailand conducts a combination of over 35 business and social events each year. We have strong and valuable relationships with the Embassy of Canada Thailand, Canadian Government, Board of Trade, Board of Investment, Customs Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Federation of Thai Industries, Joint Foreign Chambers in Thailand (JFCCT), United Nations, Canada-ASEAN Business Council and all Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand and Canadian Chambers in ASEAN.


Every year, CanCham Thailand (Thai-Canadian Chamber of Commerce) internship program offers 3-4 students, young graduates or young professionals, the opportunity to spend a period of 3 to 6 months working in its premises.


Internships with CanCham Thailand offer great opportunities for professional development and mentorship. Every intern, depending on his/her background and personal skills, will partake in research activities, event organisations, marketing strategies, media & publication updates, and other tasks, depending on office necessities.

Job responsibilities

  • Coordinate project schedules, resources, equipment and information

  • Communicate with members and response to member requests, co-ordinate and maintain relationships with members and business partners

  • Develop reasonable project plans and timelines; assign tasks to internal staff and assist with schedule management

  • Monitor project progress and mitigate issues that arise

  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports

  • Process development for growth of Chamber (membership/events/office manuals etc.) and internal task management

  • Contribute to the creation of email campaigns, and social media content in English

  • Assist event team organize and market events

  • Assist in managing and creating Chamber’s activity contents and material for social media, website platforms, circulars, emails and artwork

  • Optimise contents and landing pages for search engine optimisation, researching and implementing content strategy for organic SEO success

  • Manage and update member’s company database

  • Support the marketing team in daily administrative tasks

  • Monitor CanCham Thailand social media (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram)

  • Provide and outline marketing contents for CanCham social media which align with Brand Canada and member’s interests

  • Coordinate and assist from start to finish in planning, executing and evaluating of various events such as webinars, seminars, networking events, etc.

  • Other tasks as deemed necessary

Requirements

  • Enrolled Thai students (Bachelor or Master degree) or bachelor graduates lives in Bangkok, majoring in business administration, marketing, communication art, international business management, international relations or any related fields.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

  • Strong analytical skills and entrepreneurial mindset

  • Basic knowledge of the economy, governmental policies and optimising SEO are beneficial

  • Creative, energetic, eager to learn and tackle new challenging projects with ideas

  • Detail-oriented, driven with a Can-do attitude and strategically approach assignments to reach the goal

  • Ability to take action, work independently and manage multi-tasks under time pressure

  • Highly competent knowledge of standard software (MS word, Excel, Power point) Basic skills using Adobe design software (Photoshop/Illustrator) is a plus

  • Special skill sets on Photoshop, video editing and social media tools are advantages

  • Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques
