Greg Beatty

Greg is a business executive with a US law degree. He started his career with the law firm of Baker McKenzie right here in Bangkok.

Born near Toronto, he has worked across nearly 70 countries. While obtaining his Juris Doctorate at New England School of Law, he played hockey for the Boston Bruins Alumni Team. Companies where Greg has been Advisor, MD, COO, or Legal Counsel: TCC Assets (in ThaiBev Group), True Telecom, Verizon (several JVs across Asia), Lucent Technologies (Australia), NTT DOCOMO (subsidiaries in Singapore, Dubai), PCCW (Hong Kong), and Guest-Tek (Singapore). 

Greg is also a lecturer in the Faculty of Law at Chulalongkorn University and a member of the International Association of Privacy Professionals.

 

As a CanCham board member, I would expect to help set and execute direction, governance, and policy for CanCham as established by the board, by attending regular board meetings, and by conducting & participating in business forums on innovative and “forward” looking business topics. The objective will be to excite Canadians living in Thailand and corporate partners in Canada looking to develop or enhance business relationships in Thailand. In sum, promoting the good work CanCham is already doing and creating a bigger “buzz” in the business community.
