BANGKOK PATANA SCHOOL
Bangkok Patana School is Thailand’s original British international school and one of the most established educational institutions in Southeast Asia. Founded in 1957, the School serves a diverse community of more than 2,200 students of over 60 nationalities, including a strong representation of Canadian families, reflecting Bangkok’s international and globally mobile business community.
Set on a purpose‑built 77‑acre campus, Bangkok Patana School offers a British‑based curriculum underpinned by international best practice. Students follow the English National Curriculum through Primary and Key Stage 3, the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) in Years 10–11, and a choice of three internationally recognised pathways in Sixth Form: A Levels, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), and the IB Career‑related Programme (IBCP). This breadth enables students to tailor their education to their individual strengths, interests and future academic or career goals.
The School enjoys an excellent reputation for academic outcomes, with graduates progressing to leading universities worldwide, including prominent institutions across Canada, the United Kingdom, the United States, Europe, Asia, and Australasia. Canadian universities are a well‑established destination for Bangkok Patana alumni, supported by the School’s strong academic counselling and globally recognised qualifications.
Beyond academics, Bangkok Patana School places strong emphasis on wellbeing, character development, leadership, sustainability, and service. As a not‑for‑profit organisation governed by a Board of Trustees, the School reinvests all resources into staff development, facilities, and educational innovation. Its extensive campus includes modern learning environments, arts and technology spaces, and one of the most comprehensive sports and aquatics complexes of any school in the region.
Bangkok Patana School values its connections with international chambers, alumni networks, and business communities, including the Thai Canadian Chamber of Commerce, and shares a commitment to global citizenship, educational excellence, and meaningful community engagement.
