breaking International Baccalaureate (IB) results and acceptances to top universities around
the world, this year’s graduates exemplify academic excellence, global citizenship, and a
readiness to lead in an ever-changing world.
The Class of 2025 achieved outstanding IB results, with two students earning a perfect score
of 45, an impressive class average of 37, and 27% of the cohort achieving 40 points or
higher. Over half of the graduates (56%) earned the prestigious Bilingual IB Diploma, and
the class achieved a 100% pass rate for the second consecutive year. These results reflect
the dedication, resilience, and collaborative spirit of the students, teachers, and families that
make up the NIST community.
Canada remains a top destination for NIST graduates, bolstered by a long tradition of alumni
thriving in Canadian universities and industries. Members of the Class of 2025 have earned
places at the University of Toronto, McGill University, and the University of British Columbia,
pursuing fields from commerce and engineering to mathematics, environmental sciences,
and agricultural sciences.
This year’s graduates are pursuing an incredible diversity of pathways. Some will delve into
groundbreaking fields such as artificial intelligence, data science, and aerospace
engineering, while others will follow their passions in film, performing arts, psychology,
international relations, and hospitality. Collectively, these choices reflect NIST’s commitment
to empowering students to discover their passions, think critically, and make an impact in
their chosen fields.
Dr James Dalziel, Head of School, expressed immense pride in the graduates: “The Class of
2025 has embraced every opportunity to learn, lead, and contribute during their time at
NIST. Their achievements speak to their curiosity, courage, and compassion. As they step
into this next chapter, they carry not only the academic skills but also the values of service,
integrity, and global-mindedness that will guide them in shaping a better future.”
